A workshop that only existed when someone drove past it
General mechanics in San Francisco. A single page, made to be read on the street with one hand.

This opens the demo site. The business is fictional and the page says so throughout.
The problem
A workshop lives off people who need something today. Someone searches for a mechanic near me with the car stuck, looks at two results and calls the first one that gives them a phone number.
The problem isn't that the workshop is bad: it's that at that moment it doesn't exist. With no site, it doesn't come up in the search, and the job goes to the one next door.
What we did
One long page, which is exactly the scope of Express. Everything someone needs to know fits in a single scroll.
The prices are in plain sight. Half the calls to a workshop are to ask what an oil change costs, and that call no longer has to be answered.
The phone number is the first thing you see, at the top and fixed there. Someone arriving with a broken-down car isn't reading, they're solving a problem.
One typeface and no decorative images: 15 KB of fonts. It loads on 4G on a street with bad signal, which is where it actually gets opened.
The result
The site weighs less than a single Instagram photo and reads in full without zooming.
It's the example of what you get for the smallest package: a site that does one thing well, not a site that's half done.
